Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive assessments, goal formulation, therapeutic intervention, and case management for youth and families in the Waltham/Metro Boston region. Deliver individual, couples, and family therapy using a strengths-based, resiliency-focused philosophy while providing concrete services such as transportation, referrals, and parent education. Participate in agency-wide initiatives including Motivational Interviewing, ARC, and Courageous Conversations, and co-facilitate Department of Mental Health activity-based groups. Final year graduate students may carry outpatient cases, with a preferred schedule of three days per week including Tuesdays and evening availability. Requires a valid driver's license, reliable car, and CORI check.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable car
  • Permission from school to transport clients
  • CORI Check
  • Final year graduate students preferred, though will consider strong first year students with relevant experience
  • Clinical and/or academic exposure to family work
  • Flexibility
  • Confident self-starters
  • Minimum of 24 hours per week for final-year interns
  • Minimum of 20 hours per week for first-year interns
  • Attending 5 days of preservice
  • Preferred Mandatory Schedule: Three days a week, one of which must be Tuesdays
  • Availability to see families during evening hours at least two nights a week
