Job Summary
Clinical Intern at Wayside Youth & Family Support Network engages in in-home and community-based services across the Waltham and Metro Boston/Middlesex regions or Medford/Malden/Northeast region. Interns participate in individual, couples, and family therapy, comprehensive assessments, goal formulation, therapeutic intervention, case management, advocacy, and concrete services (e.g., transportation, referral access). They work within a strong clinical team with supervision and opportunities to co-facilitate DMV activity-based groups; exposure to Motivational Interviewing, ARC, and Courageous Conversations. The role requires flexibility, decisive autonomy in the community, and strong organizational skills to meet schedule requirements (three days/week, some evenings, 20–24 hours weekly depending on year). Final-year interns may carry outpatient cases; language skills offer stipend increases. CORI checks are required; travel between sites is common; a valid driver’s license and reliable car are necessary. Stipends are provided for final-year MA students, with language differentials available.

- Minimum 24 hours per week for final-year interns; 20 hours for first-year interns
