Clinical Intake Lead Therapist and Intern Coordinator

Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial, suicide, and violence risk assessments for clients of all ages while developing individualized treatment plans and safety plans. Coordinate intake services through scheduled appointments, walk-ins, and same-day access, ensuring clients are connected to appropriate levels of care and community resources. Provide leadership and supervision to clinical intake counselors and master's-level interns, including reviewing documentation, approving case files, and overseeing onboarding and training. Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

  • May include rotating coverage for crisis follow-up or coordination with Crisis Stabilization Units.
  • Active licensure with the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT).
  • Experience conducting clinical assessments and working with diverse populations
  • Strong knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders, crisis intervention, and care coordination.
  • Ability to supervise staff and interns or willingness to obtain supervisory qualifications as required by the Florida Board
  • Must pass Level 2 Background through DCF and AHCA Clearinghouse.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in community mental health, crisis services, or intake environments.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and outcome measurement tools.
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • Bilingual abilities.
