Clinical Intake/Assessment Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct intake and level of care assessments for prospective clients while gathering psychosocial, clinical, and diagnostic information to support treatment recommendations. Build rapport with clients and families, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to address barriers and guide individuals through the admissions process. Coordinate referrals to appropriate services, collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, and maintain accurate, compliant documentation. Travel between York and Mechanicsburg locations as needed. This part-time role supports Arkview's outpatient mental health programs by helping individuals access care during critical moments.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree with a practicum
- Masters degree in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field including a practicum
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including daytime and evening hours
Desired Qualifications
- Experience completing level of care assessments
- Experience in mental health, substance use, healthcare admissions, case management, or client engagement
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and community resources
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to effectively engage prospective clients and support treatment enrollment
- Experience with motivational interviewing or other client engagement techniques
