Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope respiratory therapy care in an acute setting, managing ventilator integration, adaptive pulmonary support, and airway management across multiple care levels. Precept new healthcare staff and model proficiency through formal and informal teaching to support team optimization. Partner with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional care outcomes while prioritizing patient wellness and evidence-based practice. Contribute to safety and quality initiatives through clinical and process improvement projects at the unit, division, or system level. Requires BSRT, RRT certification, and BLS certification; BLS must be current within sixty days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- BSRT in respiratory therapy from an accredited program
- RRT National
- RT State
- 3 years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting
- Instructional teaching experience, both formal and informal
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RT)
- NBRC - RRT
- This position is an onsite role
- Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
