Job Summary
Instruction in the Los Angeles Skills Academy NAT program: plan, teach, and evaluate course participants in classroom and clinical skills to ensure successful completion and compliance with state regulations. Roles include delivering NAT curriculum, assessing participants, and guiding students toward passing the California CNA State Test. Two approved LA locations (Long Beach and Santa Fe Springs) for evening, part-time instruction (4-8pm or per diem) with adherence to California Dept of Health standards and NAT program accreditation.
Required Qualifications
- Current nurse license in state of teaching: RN or LVN
- Two years of nursing experience with at least one year in a long-term care facility or with elderly/chronically ill
- Adult education experience preferred or DSD Certificate
- Must meet state minimum nursing and teaching experience requirements for instructors
