Job Summary
Provide classroom and clinical instruction to prepare CNA students for state and national testing; develop and implement curriculum; supervise students during clinical rotations at Griffin Hospital/Middlesex Hospital and in various long term care facilities; advise, recruit, and retain students; teach adult learners using a variety of teaching methods; demonstrate knowledge of CT CNA regulations and Prometric testing requirements; utilize instructional technology.
Required Qualifications
- Current Connecticut RN or LPN license in good standing
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a long-term care setting
- Experience supervising nursing assistants, students, or healthcare personnel
- Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners
- Teaching experience in a healthcare education program
- Curriculum development and instructional technology experience
- Knowledge of CT CNA regulations and Prometric testing requirements
- Experience in advising, recruitment, and retention
