Job Summary
Part-time clinical instructors at Excelsior University focus on student interaction, providing prompt responses to student needs and timely feedback on student work. Responsibilities include planning patient assignments, supervising clinical experiences, conducting synchronous sessions, and completing evaluations for students. Required qualifications include a master's degree in nursing, active NYS RN license, at least 5 years of RN experience, current clinical experience, strong communication skills, and current BLS certification. Compensation is $5,000, paid bi-weekly, and the position requires weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- A master's degree in nursing from a program with institutional accreditation
- Active, unencumbered NYS RN license
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in varied clinical areas
- Current clinical experience within an acute care hospital setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Current BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supervising nursing students and/or new graduate RNs
- Experience with various modes of educational technology, including video conferencing software
