Clinical Inpatient Rehab Liaison-Per Diem - Rehab Center

Clinical inpatient rehab liaisons are responsible for department marketing, sales, and evaluating potential clients for admission to our inpatient rehab facility (IRF). Working closely with leadership, this role will assist with developing business strategies to increase referrals and admissions to the rehab center. Clinical liaisons provide a high level of face-to-face customer service and develop strong relationships with hospital leaders, physicians, discharge planners, and other clinicians both in the community and internal to Sharp. They work to assist hospitals with rehab evaluations in order efficiently determine if clients meet IRF criteria and assist with transfer to next level of care. Essential functions include admissions screening for inpatient rehab referrals, preadmission assessments, communications with Rehab Medical Director and physicians, data management of market trends and referrals, and business development/outreach to healthcare professionals. Education responsibilities include educating patients and families about admission criteria and insurance. Compliance with Medicare guidelines, and proficiency in multitasking, prioritization, organization, and relationship building are required. Sharp HealthCare is an equal opportunity employer.
