Job Summary
The Clinical Informatics Specialist (RN) serves as a liaison between clinical practice and information technology, ensuring that electronic health record (EHR) systems support safe patient care. Responsibilities include collaborating with clinical teams to assess workflow needs, providing support for Epic EMR, developing training programs for clinical staff, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and maintaining documentation for workflows. Applicants must possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a solid understanding of clinical workflows. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred along with 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current Unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse Licensure is required
- 3 years of experience in clinical nursing required
- Hands on experience with Epic EMR
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in clinical informatics or healthcare IT preferred
- Epic certification in modules such as ClinDoc, Orders or Ancillary Systems preferred
- Familiarity with interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) preferred
- Experience with reporting tools
- Familiarity with frameworks like Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile
