Job Summary
Promote the integration of computer and communications technologies and clinical change initiatives that automate and/or enhance evidence-based clinical practices, access to patient/client information, and clinical documentation via the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Collaborate with clinical leaders, service managers, physicians, and staff to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, accountability, and sustainability of clinical initiatives supporting the transition to a fully integrated EHR. Serve as an integral regional or Community of Care member of a multi-disciplinary Clinical Informatics team. Requires current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with at least three to five years of healthcare experience, including extensive experience using related computer technology, clinical change management, and project leadership. Previous experience in rehab and ambulatory clinical informatics is required.
Required Qualifications
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a health care environment
- Extensive experience using related computer technology
- Extensive experience in clinical change management
- Extensive experience in project leadership
- Experience designing, implementing and supporting clinical systems
- Previous experience in rehab and ambulatory clinical informatics portfolio
- Knowledge of policy and procedure development
