Job Summary
Clinical Informatics Specialist drives design, implementation, optimization and adoption of clinical informatics initiatives focusing on EHR-related workflows, stakeholder collaboration, and change management. Responsibilities include defining customer requirements, workflow and process analysis, testing, go-live support, and acting as an EHR champion to improve patient care and clinical processes through evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of progressive clinical and/or health informatics experience
- Post-secondary education in clinical, health science, information technology and/or health informatics
- Cerner experience considered an asset
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in clinical, health science, information technology and/or health informatics
- Registered member of a regulated health professional college with health informatics experience
- Three (3) years of progressive clinical and/or health informatics experience, preferably including implementing a major clinical application or large project, redesigning clinical processes and/or business processes to improve patient care and stakeholder workflow and applying change management and project management methodologies
- Cerner experience considered an asset
