Job Summary
Conduct initial and ongoing training for providers and staff on hospital applications and electronic health records. Collect input from care providers to collaborate on the design, build, and improvement of clinical information systems while assisting with data transfer assignments and mining queries. Develop and maintain departmental dashboards using tools like Tableau to support all hospital departments. Ensure the hospital achieves Meaningful Use targets by communicating progress and assisting relevant departments in meeting goals. Participate in organization committees to share clinical user practices and facilitate communication with technical resources for advanced assistance. Prepare reports and data visualizations, conduct system demonstrations, and support application implementation and day-to-day troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare or clinical informatics experience
- Hands-on experience with EHR such as Meditech, AthenaOne, or similar platforms
- Understanding of healthcare workflows (inpatient, ambulatory, ancillary services such as Radiology, Rehabilitation services etc.)
- Hands-on experience with visual analytics tools such as Tableau
- Experience as a super user for clinical systems supporting clinical users (physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, etc.)
- Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy/security regulations
- Bachelor's degree in health informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Nurse preferred but not required
- Experience supporting technical systems in a professional environment
- Experience with report development, validation, and optimization
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED)
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements (CMS, Joint Commission, etc.)
