Job Summary
Work with clients to understand use cases and requirements, then research and recommend solutions or modeling approaches. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Symedical® and Pivot® functionality, including system configuration, module interdependencies, and product impacts on clinical operations. Independently perform complex terminology mapping, normalization, and governance across standards like LOINC, SNOMED CT, and RxNorm. Lead small to medium-sized informatics projects, managing planning, execution, delivery, and stakeholder expectations. Design solutions for seamless data exchange using HL7 and FHIR standards, and analyze complex datasets to identify trends and actionable insights. Mentor junior informaticists on project tasks and consulting behaviors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing (BSN), Pharmacy (BPharm, MPharm, PharmD), Medical Laboratory Science or another clinical discipline
- 5+ years of recent experience in a clinical informatics role, relevant healthcare IT environment, professional services setting, or biomedical enterprise
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare data management, clinical informatics, standardized terminologies, semantic interoperability, and data analysis
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- demonstrated ability to understand system integrations, data flows, and database structures
- Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7 v2, FHIR) and their application in laboratory data exchange
