Job Summary
Coordinate notification, reporting, and equipment functionality while overseeing technologist activity and scheduling. Deliver patient care by initiating, monitoring, and terminating procedures, ensuring all patients are informed of clinical policies. Establish preventative maintenance schedules for imaging equipment, document repairs, and recommend new procedural techniques to the Medical Director. Report on technologist technical competence, participate in staff meetings, and train new personnel on protocols. Maintain professional relationships with referral sources and ensure adequate supplies of medical and radiographic equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates of Applied Science Degree from an approved collegiate or hospital based Radiologic Technology
- A.R.R.T. certification
- MRI certification
- At least 2 years of MRI experience
- Adequate on-the-job training on maintenance of equipment
- Ability to identify or detect and correct any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions
- Ability to contact proper resource for repair if unable to identify or detect and correct malfunctions
- Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties
- Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
