Job Summary
Clinical Faculty for Foundations/Fundamentals at Grand Canyon University will develop and deliver instruction integrating current teaching methodologies, technologies, and trends with evidence-based nursing lab activities from foundational skill development through simulation. The role entails reinforcing didactic content in clinical and lab settings, collaborating with faculty to evaluate and document student progress, participating in grading and competency check-offs, facilitating pre/post conference discussions, maintaining communication with program leadership, staying current with trends in the field, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements, and traveling to student clinical and lab sites to observe performance. Requires a Master’s degree (MSN), an active RN license in AZ or a compact state, and at least 2 years of long-term care or Med/Surg nursing experience; strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential. Location is Phoenix metro area with on-site clinical rotations; travel to student sites is required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree (MSN) required
- Active, current, and unencumbered Registered Nursing License in the state of Arizona or compact state
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in long term care or medical/surgical nursing
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students and preceptors
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
