Job Summary
Coordinate teacher candidate field placements with school districts and community partners to ensure successful completion prior to student teaching. Advise candidates on professional education requirements, graduation timelines, and documentation needs while maintaining accurate records in institutional systems. Manage contractual agreements with external organizations and support assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement efforts for the educator preparation program. Collaborate with faculty and the Center for Student Success to optimize placement processes and candidate progression.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree plus one year of professional experience in an education setting
- Bachelor's degree plus two years of professional experience in an education setting
- Three years of professional experience in an education setting
- Equivalent combination of postsecondary training, education and/or professional experience
- Experience working directly with students
- Demonstrated oral, verbal, and written communication skills sufficient to communicate in writing, over the phone, and prepare and deliver presentation
- Demonstrated ability for creative problem solving and the ability to understand complex systems
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to speak in public
- Must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Work Experience with P-12 schools
- Professional Work Experience in post-secondary education
- Demonstrated Knowledge in student advising models
- Demonstrated ability for handling multiple projects simultaneously
