Job Summary
Prescribe exercise therapy and provide education to patients within the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program using therapeutic self, technology, and healthcare team support. Serve as a unit resource by applying expertise in clinical and technical exercise physiology principles. Complete a Basic Arrhythmia course within six months of hire and maintain BLS certification. This per diem position requires travel to all Sarasota Memorial Health Care System locations, including North Port, Blackburn Point, Clark Rd, Heart Pavilion, and Heritage Harbour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor Exercise Science Degree program WITH National Certification from ACSM, EP-C or CEP, or AACVPR, CCRP (within 6 months of hire date)
- Graduate of Exercise Physiology Master Degree Program
- demonstrated knowledge of clinical and technical aspects of exercise physiology and training
- successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course within six (6) months of hire
- basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications
- BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
- Per Diem position willing to travel to all Cardiopulmonary Rehab locations - North Port, Blackburn Point, Clark Rd, Heart Pavilion at main campus, and Heritage Harbour
- undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
