Job Summary
Transports patients within the hospital and assists with patient transfers to support safe, timely patient movement and department throughput. Delivers compassionate, professional service, communicates with care team members regarding arrival/departure of patients, transport of medications and/or medical equipment, and collaborates to prioritize transport requests during high-volume periods. Utilizes electronic assignment systems and performs related administrative duties while engaging in departmental process improvements. Requires CPR certification and the ability to perform heavy physical work (lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly) in a hospital environment. This role focuses on safe patient transport, teamwork with the care team, and contributing to throughput efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification through the American Heart Association
