Job Summary
Clinical Educator (RN) responsible for designing and delivering education programs across the hospital. Develops and maintains training to meet regulatory requirements (CMS, JCAHO/Joint Commission), supports onboarding and ongoing development, and collaborates with Human Resources and interdisciplinary teams to ensure staff demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and competencies. Duties include evaluating training programs for compliance, creating curricula and materials, deploying diverse training methods, measuring training effectiveness and ROI, maintaining documentation, and participating in hospital committees. Requires a BSN (or higher) and 5 years of experience in nursing or training leadership within healthcare, Texas RN license in good standing, BLS and Handle With Care certification, and completion of management of assaultive behavior training prior to patient-care responsibilities. Strong communication, instructional design, and clinical knowledge in mental health/psychiatric care are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Health related field preferred.
- Experience – 5 years experience in a training or nurse management role in a health care setting required. Acute psychiatric care experience preferred. Healthstream experience.

- Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Teaching/adult learning theory and instructional methodologies and training; problem-solving; organizational and time management. Principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- PC skills that Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, customer service, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledgeable of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health and regulations pertaining to psychiatric nursing and the treatment of mentally and emotionally disturbed patients.
