Job Summary
Conduct orientation and continuing education for clinical nursing staff and ancillary personnel at St. John Community. Manage the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program by organizing, implementing, monitoring, and auditing its operations. Support education needs for ancillary staff as requested. Work a daylight shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with flexible hours, including occasional weekend and evening coverage for staff education. Participate in an on-call rotation of one weekend per month.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited college, university, associate's degree program, or diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
- Must possess a current, valid RN license for the state of Pennsylvania.
- Must have 2 years of experience as an RN.
- Must have been a full or part-time status for at least one year in the provision of a long-term care facility.
- Must have an understanding of State and Federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
- Must have completed specialized training in Infection Prevention and Control or will be able to be trained/certified within 6 months.
