Job Summary
Conduct onsite orientation rounds with clinical nurses to provide education and clinical support, ensuring a safe transition from advanced beginner to competent practice. Collaborate with unit educators and preceptors to assess learning needs and deliver new staff orientation activities covering clinical competencies, policies, regulatory requirements, and clinical information technologies. Mentor new clinical staff and participate in evaluating their clinical performance in collaboration with unit leadership. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Nursing
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 2 years of nursing experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take appropriate action

Desired Qualifications
- Current/Recent In-patient, Acute Care, Preceptor and/or Charge Nurse experience
