Job Summary

Deliver standardized, competency-based training programs including new employee orientation, preceptor training, and facility-specific in-services to promote quality patient care. Develop skills to educate personnel in chronic kidney disease treatment programs and collaborate with partners to schedule, provide, and implement education technologies. Utilize facilitation techniques to promote immersive learning experiences while supporting metric/KPI programs with timely data documentation and reporting. Maintain open communication with internal and external customers, including physicians, hospitals, and government agencies. Travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community, with an approximate 35-80% travel requirement.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current appropriate RN state licensure in primary state of residence
  • Minimum 1-year dialysis experience as a Registered Nurse CDN or CNN
  • Successful completion and maintenance of CPR BLS (Basic Life Safety) Certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain RN state licensure in assigned states as directed
  • Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment
  • Must be able to bend over
  • Must be able to move, with assistance, machines, and equipment of up to 200 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet
  • Must be able to provide essential functions of this position in other locations which may include overnight stays
  • Must be available for travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community
  • Must be available for travel to regional, departmental, and corporate meetings
  • Must be available for approximately 35-80% travel

  • Must be able to support metric / KPI programs, with timely and complete data documentation, reporting, and ongoing quality improvement processes
  • Must be able to maintain knowledge of products, services, and strategies to support and train staff appropriately in all modalities
  • Must adhere to standards and scope of nursing practice, company policy, procedures, compliance, regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements
  • Must be able to focus all programs towards achieving a culture of patient safety, clinical quality goals, and improving patient outcomes
  • Must be able to collaborate with relevant partners at all levels to schedule, provide, and implement education programs, technologies, and processes for new and current personnel
  • Must be able to empower and promote a culture of lifelong learning through professional programs, coaching, and available technologies
  • Must be able to use facilitation techniques and the variety of tools and resources available to promote immersive, engaging, learning experiences
  • Must be able to develop and maintain open, effective, and timely communication with internal and external customers such as, but not limited to, company management and facility team, government agencies, physicians, hospitals, and contracted travel personnel
  • Must be able to support the training and education of employees based in company facilities and programs within an assigned geographical area

  • Must be able to interact with patients, Regional and facility/program employees and physicians
  • Must be able to work with frequent, prolonged periods of standing
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace
  • Must be able to work in accordance with applicable federal and state laws

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree BSN or MSN (preferred)
  • Current appropriate RN state licensure in primary state of residence (preferred)
  • Minimum 1-year dialysis experience as a Registered Nurse CDN or CNN (preferred)
  • Must attain RN state licensure in assigned states within 18 months of employment
