Job Summary
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise the agency's unlicensed and licensed practitioners, including school-based mental health counselors, social workers, and crisis intervention specialists. Provide direct clinical supervision, facilitate group supervision or case conferences, and monitor caseloads to ensure compliance with agency, clinical, legal, and ethical practices. Counsel staff, conduct performance reviews, and oversee work procedures while ensuring accurate clinical documentation and licensure adherence. Develop programs, identify training needs, and collaborate with program directors to optimize service delivery for clients. Work weekends and nights for fundraising events, travel to meet donors, and balance office meetings with donor engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling or social work
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation
- At least five years of supervisory experience in a similar role
- Must be able to work weekends and nights for fundraising events
- Must be willing to work long hours to reach fundraising deadlines
- Must be willing to travel to meet with potential donors wherever they may be
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, domestic violence and sexually exploited minors
- Highly skilled at supervising individual and family therapy and engaging caregivers in treatment
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with foster care and child welfare systems and services, community mental health, and/or community psychology models
- Competent in working with psychological issues related race, ethnicity and class
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Medi-Cal reimbursement procedures and billing
