Job Summary
Directs one or more major functional areas of a hospital laboratory division, supervises two or more professional and support staff, and provides strategic leadership on operations, budgeting, quality and regulatory compliance. Responsible for ongoing development and implementation of laboratory processes, quality improvement, safety programs, contract management, and ensuring CMS/CLIA compliance. Partners with Medical Director to ensure testing quality and customer satisfaction, oversees cost control, and drives growth strategies for the laboratory business unit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or Allied Sciences; Certification as a MT (ASCP registered) and 5 years of management experience in a hospital setting.
- A master’s degree in health or business administration preferred.
