Job Summary
Clinical Director leads the Wellness department in a senior living community to provide a safe, homelike environment and support residents’ wellness. Responsibilities include overseeing resident health and wellness, coordinating with primary care providers and health services, mentoring and supervising the Wellness team, ensuring HIPAA and Resident Rights compliance, maintaining infection control, and ensuring adequate staffing and ongoing staff development. The role may assume Executive Director responsibilities in their absence and requires leadership, regulatory compliance, and commitment to geriatric care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in assisted living or health care
- Prior supervisory and leadership experience in the health care environment strongly preferred
- Current CPR certification as required by the regulatory bodies governing the community
- Current license/certification as required by the regulatory bodies governing the community
- Current active nursing degree valid in state of employment
- Immunization and series tracking complete as required by state regulations
- Ability to hire, train, and supervise Wellness team
- Experience with infection control guidelines and state regulations
