Job Summary
Clinical Director oversees the overall operation of the outpatient clinic, including daily management, ensuring clinical supervision during all operational hours, developing a quality improvement plan, and monitoring regulatory/licensing adherence. Responsible for supervising all clinical programming, collaborating with Leadership on administrative functions, providing clinical services while supervising and evaluating staff, guiding program development (clinical curriculum, documentation, treatment planning), and coordinating with accounting, IT (EHR implementation), and HR. Leads clinical staff recruitment, training, performance reviews, and credentialing compliance; participates in policy development, cost-effective service delivery, and state-visit readiness; acts as Leader/Liaison of the multi-disciplinary Clinical Treatment Team and drives quality improvement and referral-network expansion. Requires leadership, clinical expertise, compliance awareness, strong communication, organizational skills, and adaptability to support outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment operations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health Related field
- License in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or substance use; clinical supervision certification/ licensure required (i.e., LISW-S, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, and/or similar certification/licensure)
- 2 years, at minimum, of supervisory experience
- ASAM experience and knowledge
- 5 years of Mental Health and/or Substance Use Treatment experience required, preferably in an outpatient setting
- Experience with startup organizations is preferred
- Demonstrated computer proficiency
