Job Summary
Assess, plan, monitor, and counsel patients on medical nutrition therapy across hospital, clinic, and outpatient settings. Conduct nutrition screenings to establish diagnoses and interventions, documenting care in electronic medical records or paper forms. Coordinate comprehensive nutrition care while participating in interdisciplinary rounds, teaching interns, and contributing to department projects and data collection. Maintain confidentiality, comply with regulatory standards, and cover other campuses as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active dietetic registration
- Successful completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) or Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CPD) plus Dietetic Internship (DI) accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- Licensed as appropriate per state requirements
- Masters degree as required by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (effective Jan. 1, 2024) or bachelors degree grandfathered prior to this update
- PA state license maintained through PA state nursing board
- Employment history for the past seven (7) years
