Clinical Dietitian (PART-TIME)

Job Summary
Conduct nutrition assessments and interventions for pediatric inpatients and outpatients, including high-risk and moderate-risk screenings. Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on diet history, labs, and disease-specific requirements. Perform nutrition counseling for patients and caretakers regarding specialized formulas and meal plans. Prescribe enteral and parenteral nutrition orders as necessary. Document all assessments and recommendations via the EPIC medical record system. Actively participate in team rounds and coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and community providers. Fulfill rotating on-call responsibilities. Requires a registered dietitian license in Florida, BLS certification, and completion of clinical competencies. Schedule includes Monday-Friday hours with rotating remote weekend and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree at a U.S. regionally accredited university or college
- Coursework accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Registered Dietitian with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of Florida
- Completion of continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration and licensure
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- RD certificate within 180 days of hire by passing the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
- Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist status through the Florida Department of State: Division of Professional Regulation within 6 months of hire
- Travel to satellite clinic locations as needed
- Schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating remote weekend and holiday coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Hospital experience
- At least 2 years of pediatric experience
- Master's Degree in Nutrition related field
- Additional specialty certification (CDE, CNSC and or CSP)
- Pediatric and Renal experience
