Job Summary
Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on resident assessments, integrating them into overall care protocols. Monitor and document nutritional status for Continuing Care residents, while evaluating and reporting on needs for Home Health and Hospice patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide counseling, educate on dietary plans, and oversee food production systems and menu compliance. Conduct Quality Assurance audits, maintain record confidentiality, and ensure all services adhere to federal, state, and local regulations. Contribute to dining staff supervision and training while maintaining professional licensure. This part-time role supports Erickson Senior Living's mission to enhance quality of life for residents in our Silver Spring, Maryland community.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Dietitian
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in health care food service management
- Experience in clinical nutrition
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize clinical and administrative dietetics
- Issues in persons with terminal illness
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Initiative to recognize a problem and develop a plan of correction
- Flexible schedule
