Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and implement evidence-based practice guidelines for patients, including monthly reviews for dialysis patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and families to establish goals, expedite care orders, and provide patient education. Track Nutrition-related QAPI data, participate in departmental initiatives, and coordinate education programs for patients, staff, and dietetic students. Maintain Wyoming licensure, CDR registration, and BLS certification while demonstrating critical thinking and ethical accountability in all patient care discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Wyoming licensure for Registered Dietitians
- registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- current, valid BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
- One year of clinical nutrition experience
- Membership in the Wyoming Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership
- Dietetic Practice Groups membership appropriate for specialty area
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist credential
- Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, hospital leadership, and the general public both verbally and in writing
- Exceptional critical thinking skills with cognizance of professional scope
- Decisive judgment and the ability to work effectively without immediate supervision
- Ability to learn new computer software programs
- Ability to recognize and protect confidential information
- Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position
