Job Summary
Clinical Dietitian Nutrition responsible for patient-focused nutritional care across all units including ICU/PICU. Assess nutritional needs, develop, implement, and re-evaluate care plans, and educate patients and families. Modify diet orders and recommend adjustments for enteral feeding and nutritional supplements. Collaborate with the healthcare team to address patient issues and ensure quality nutrition support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (within 12 months of employment in New York; not required for New Jersey positions)
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Commission on Dietetic Registration)
- Experience: 2 to 4 years
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Eagerness to acquire knowledge in the area of specialty
- Demonstrated analytical, time management, and priority-setting skills
- Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities
Desired Qualifications
- 2-4 years clinical dietitian experience
- Oncology experience preferred
- Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (within 12 months of employment in New York; not required for New Jersey positions)
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (CDR)
