Job Summary
Clinical Dietitian in a Medical/Surgical Clinic provides competent, safe, and ethical nutrition care to patients/clients, including nutrition care process, dietetic student practicum and preceptoring, dysphagia management, and enteral/parenteral nutrition. Responsibilities involve counselling patients, collaborating with an interprofessional healthcare team, prioritizing and solving problems under time constraints, and contributing to ongoing education and skills development. This part-time role (30 hours biweekly) is based at Central Zone, Bayers Lake Community Outpatient Centre, NS Health, with opportunities to support inpatient and outpatient nutrition services and participate in multidisciplinary care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition
- Dietetic Internship Program
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists
