Job Summary
Provide medical nutrition care to patients through nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and education utilizing evidence-based guidelines. Develop care plans with appropriate follow-up and reassess interventions. Manage total nutritional care for patients receiving enteral nutrition and assess patients for malnutrition. Requires Alabama State Licensure and Registered Dietitian certification obtained within six months of employment. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from an accredited institution is required. One to two years of clinical experience is preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail are necessary. This role is part-time, first shift, located at Madison Hospital Clinical Outcomes Department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from an accredited college or university
- Alabama State Licensure
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
