Clinical Dietitian - Kennestone - Part Time

Job Summary

Develop and implement medical nutrition therapy by assessing patients at nutrition risk, calculating metabolic requirements, and creating individualized care plans. Perform nutrition-focused physical exams, manage enteral nutrition support regimens, and develop transitional feeding plans for identified patients. Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and the healthcare team on specialized diets, supplements, and eating behaviors while documenting all encounters in electronic medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during rounds and committees to foster continuity of care and participate in performance improvement activities such as peer chart audits. Mentor dietetic interns and technicians while maintaining professional development competencies aligned with organizational ethics and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a major in nutrition / dietetics
  • Completion of a supervised practice didactic program accredited by the Accreditation Counsel for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist (RD, RDN) through the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) within 6 months of hire
  • Licensed Dietitian (LD) through Georgia licensing board obtained within 6 months of hire
  • One to two years clinical experience
  • Experience with electronic medical record charting systems and other software relative to foodservice systems
