Job Summary
Conduct clinical assessments of patients to determine nutritional status and prescribe appropriate nutrition therapies including therapeutic diets, enteral, and parenteral support. Collaborate with healthcare teams to align interventions with goals of care and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition counseling and interventions. Develop and present educational materials for patients, families, and staff while documenting all care provided in the medical record. Participate in QAPI, medical rounds, and community education programs as assigned. This casual, non-benefited position at Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital supports staffing during employee leave and PTO coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics AND completion of the required nutrition classes to be eligible for and complete a Dietetic Internship as approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Current registration as a dietitian with the Commission on Dietetics
- Current license as a Registered Dietitian with the State of Illinois
- Meets all organizational and department competencies for position and privileges
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nutrition or related field
- > 1year of clinical practice
