Job Summary
Clinical Dietitian II works independently to identify patients at nutritional risk, plan and implement medical nutrition therapy, determine nutrition diagnoses, develop and implement evidence-based nutrition care plans, monitor and evaluate progress, and communicate with the interdisciplinary care team. Provides leadership and education across the organization, serves as a resource to Dietitians I, preceptor/lecturer/advisor for dietetic interns and students, collaborates with Food Service to ensure nutritionally appropriate menus, performs nutrition-focused physical examinations, coordinates with physicians and the healthcare team for malnutrition diagnoses, documents thoroughly in the EHR, and leads quality initiatives and performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Masters (Required)
- Dietitian/Nutritionist License (ND LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
- Registered Dietitian CDR Certification (CDR) - Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- One (1) year of experience required
- Degree in Nutrition or a job related field. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required for those individuals that are registered or have established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31, 2023. A minimum of a master’s degree is required for those seeking eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians for the first time, on or after January 1, 2024.
