Job Summary
Assess nutritional status of at-risk patients from pediatric through geriatric populations and implement appropriate nutrition interventions. Counsel clients on population-specific nutrition interventions and develop programs to meet the needs of physicians, patients, staff, and the community. Access, retrieve, and document required information through the hospital electronic health record while acting as a nutrition resource for Food Service to implement therapeutic diets. Receive and enter telephone orders from licensed independent practitioners. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition Science, ACEND-accredited internship completion, and Wisconsin Certified Dietitian licensure. Entry-level candidates with one to two years of clinical experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in: Dietetics or Nutrition Science
- Completion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship, Coordinated program, Graduate program
- Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Certified Dietitian in the State of Wisconsin within one year of hire
- Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire
- Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend English language
Desired Qualifications
- One to two (1-2) years of clinical experience in similar type facility preferred
