Job Summary
Works with an interdisciplinary health care team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy aligned with the patient’s medical program goals. Develops and implements medical nutrition therapy using standards of care; screens and conducts nutrition assessments for patients at nutritional risk; creates individualized nutrition intervention plans; provides therapeutic nutrition support including enteral and parenteral nutrition; ensures care complies with state practice act; evaluates outcomes and reassesses care as needed; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Dietitian with current certification as a Dietitian in the State of Washington
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in dietetics, foods and nutrition
- Teaching skills that are easily adapted to fit the needs of the patient(s)
- Ability to engage and motivate patients to adopt new self-management behaviors
- Assessment skills for developing a patient-specific care plan
- Registered member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
