Job Summary
Assess nutritional needs, develop and implement nutritional care plans, and participate in patient and staff education and quality assurance activities. Provide patient care activities while demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to interpret data reflective of patient status and identify age-specific requirements. Maintain NC licensure and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics registration to uphold the system's Standards of Excellence. This role supports a 350-bed medical center recognized as a Cardiovascular Center of Excellence, fostering a community-centered atmosphere for over 3,200 dedicated team members.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. and/or M.S in Dietetics
- Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- NC licensure (all credentials are kept on file)
- demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit or area
- demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs
- provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence
