Job Summary
Conduct nutrition assessments and Minimum Data Set (MDS) evaluations for residents using validated screening tools. Plan, develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition plans of care while providing medical nutrition therapy integrated with patient medical needs. Deliver nutrition recommendations for enteral support and educate patients and families, prioritizing resident rights and evidence-based practices. Complete monthly quality assurance and process improvement audits while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Requires a Maryland Registered Dietitian license, Bachelor's degree, and two years of experience; previous skilled nursing facility experience is highly desired.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Dietitian license in the state of Maryland
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience as a Dietitian
- Knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process
- Ability to apply all steps of the Nutrition Care Process
- A strong desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way
- Superb organizational and time management skills
- Decision making, problem solving, and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility
