Job Summary
Clinical Dietetic Technician (CDT) position supporting Veterans in Bay Pines, FL. Responsibilities include printing and reviewing meal tickets via Computrition/Vista, interpreting diet orders to ensure meals adhere to patient requests and therapeutic diets, conducting bedside ordering, managing patient room service orders (RMS), monitoring ADT and diet changes, assisting with tray assembly and meal delivery, collecting patient information to support RDNs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate nutrition care while complying with applicable policies. Requires authorization to work in the U.S. permanently (no sponsorship), a bachelor’s degree or 24 semester hours in nutrition or DTR credential, hospital food service experience, knowledge of IDDSI and other therapeutic diets, and proficiency with standard office software; VA experience is a plus. This is a 4-month base period with an additional 4-month option, hourly pay $25, and operating hours 5:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m., 7 days per week including holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
- A bachelor’s degree or at least 24 semester hours in a nutrition-related field or Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) credentials
- Must have experience performing duties in food service in a hospital environment
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets (IDDSI, Renal, Diabetic, Cardiac, Medical Nutrition Therapy)
- Experience with basic computer functions (Word, Excel, Outlook, email, data entry, internet navigation)
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and customer service
- Previous VA experience is a plus
