Job Summary
Provide targeted support, guidance, education, and advice to the healthcare workforce managing people with diabetes across primary care, community, and hospital settings. Champion clinical excellence and training to build workforce competency in diabetes management, enabling safer patient care aligned with national standards. Promote innovative community-based activities to increase engagement with priority populations while role modeling best practice for primary care nurses and allied health professionals. This permanent full-time role involves Monday to Friday hours with flexibility for evening clinics and weekend support. Candidates must be a registered clinician with a postgraduate in diabetes education and at least three years of primary care experience.
Required Qualifications
- A registered clinician with current practicing certificate
- Designated prescriber
- Have a full and current driver's licence
- Have a minimum three-year health experience in primary care
- Have experience in diabetes management
- Have experience in patient and staff education
- Show initiative and innovation in engaging with broader health services
Desired Qualifications
- Hold a postgraduate in diabetes education
