Job Summary
The Clinical Development Medical Director will lead and execute early and late-stage clinical trials for oncology products, collaborate in study design and planning, and ensure adherence to protocols. The role includes acting as medical monitor for trials, analyzing safety data, and preparing reports for regulatory agencies. Candidates should possess an MD with relevant experience in oncology and drug development in a biotech or pharmaceutical context, alongside strong skills in cross-functional teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- MD (board certification or eligibility in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology desirable but not essential)
- Minimum of 5 years of post-residency experience
- Drug development experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, or a combination of academia and industry
- Hands-on experience in the design, execution, and reporting of controlled clinical trials in oncology
- Understanding of basic science relevant to clinical oncology (biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology and/or genetics)
