Job Summary
Direct and oversee all residential programs including Supportive Living, Alternative Family Living, and Long-Term Care Support to ensure alignment with NC Division of Mental Health standards and state regulations. Formulate long-term strategic initiatives to enhance service delivery while managing a multidisciplinary team of Qualified Professionals and facilities managers. Provide direct supervision and mentorship for QPs, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and training to maintain a robust leadership pipeline. Partner with executive leadership to manage departmental budgets, analyze program metrics, and lead responses to audits and quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a senior liaison between the agency, state regulatory bodies, and families to champion systemic improvements in residential care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field
- Qualified Professional (QP) status according to 10A NCAC 27G .0104
- Valid NC Driver's License
- 5–7+ years of professional experience in IDD services
- 3+ years in a significant supervisory or management role leading clinical and operational teams
- Deep operational knowledge of NC Innovations Waiver, AFL, and Supportive Living regulations
- Advanced ability to manage managers, lead professional clinical staff, and cultivate a positive, growth-oriented culture
- Ability to interpret complex state policies and translate them into streamlined operational procedures
- Superior verbal and written communication skills for executive reporting, stakeholder presentations, conflict resolution, and budgetary oversight
