Job Summary
Clinical Development Medical Director for Cystic Fibrosis at Vertex. Lead medical strategy and medical monitoring across multiple trials, oversee study design and execution, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop protocols, Investigator Brochures, Clinical Development Plans, and regulatory submissions. Provide scientific and clinical input on ICFs, CRFs, SAPs, CPAPs and CSR; liaise with Translational Medicine/Clinical Development and other internal groups; represent Vertex to external clinicians in protocol development and study conduct; contribute to regulatory interactions and responses. Hybrid work arrangement with remote and on-site options, and eligibility for on-site or hybrid schedules under Vertex Flex policies.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO or equivalent medical degree
- Board certification/eligibility in medical, pediatric or surgical subspecialty preferred
- Typically requires 10 years of basic or clinical research experience
- Experience with clinical trials design, execution, and analysis
- Knowledge of biostatistics, GCP, and regulatory processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
