Job Summary
Clinical Department Liaison serves as the primary strategic and operational bridge between the Department of Psychiatry and Yale Medicine, focusing on independently addressing the department’s clinical revenue cycle and compliance concerns. Responsibilities include audits of EPIC, documentation, and coding; optimizing charge capture and reimbursement; educating faculty and staff on regulatory guidelines; coordinating with Epic Analysts, credentialing teams, and department leadership; and ensuring adherence to HIPAA and payer requirements while developing workflows to improve financial performance and reduce risk. The role involves collaboration with YMA and department teams to implement training, monitor performance, and stay current with federal, state, and payer regulations. This is a hybrid role with duties spanning billing, coding, compliance, data analysis, and process improvement across Yale Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
