Job Summary
Clinical Data Manager responsible for data abstraction from medical records, maintaining REDCap databases, and ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance in a multidisciplinary cancer/clinical research environment. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining data definitions and abstraction procedures, performing thorough abstraction of pathology and treatment data, coordinating with clinicians for clarification, conducting quality control and data quality reviews, and supporting automated data abstraction efforts. Required to have a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of data abstraction experience with EMR, plus familiarity with REDCap; nice-to-have experience in oncology, SQL, biostatistics, and AI tools. This role offers a salary range of $83,500 to $130,000 annually and benefits, with remote work available within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
- 2+ years of data abstraction experience
- knowledge of basic medical terminology
- experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- experience with data quality and documentation
- familiarity with REDCap or other data capture systems
- ability to maintain regulatory compliance and confidentiality
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- team player capable of independent work
- willing to learn and be curious
