Job Summary
Conduct intake assessments and provide short-term individual and group counseling for students and employees addressing personal, academic, social, and mental health concerns. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, deliver telehealth services via HIPAA-compliant technology, and participate in an on-call rotation for acute crisis intervention. Facilitate workshops, presentations, and support groups while consulting with faculty, staff, and campus partners to foster a culture of wellness. Collaborate within the multidisciplinary Health and Counseling Services team to promote student resilience and academic success.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work
- Full Licensure in the state of Maine (LCPC, LCSW)
- 5+ years of licensure and experience
- willingness to supervise trainees and interns
- Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Knowledge of counseling theories, short-term therapy models, and diagnostic practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consultation skills
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Sound professional judgment and adherence to ethical standards of clinical practice
- Appropriate background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience in a variety of mental health settings, including college counseling centers preferred
