Job Summary
Direct and supervise staff members assigned to the department, supporting hospital mission and promoting harmonious relationships among nursing personnel, medical staff, ancillary departments, patients, and families. Provide care delivery to specific patient groups while evaluating care quality systematically to improve outcomes. Ensure care aligns with hospital philosophy, approved budget, and interdepartmental coordination. Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of patients served in the operating room. Requires Texas RN license, BLS within 14 days, and preferred BSN with two years of recent OR experience. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved school of nursing
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
- BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role
- BLS certification obtained prior to providing direct patient care
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- At least two years recent OR experience
- ACLS
